The HiThe Hierophant has keys under his feet as the High Priestess has the moon under hers. These keys represent the keys to the gateway of gnosis. If you look closely they both sit in the middle of two pillars. The moon is on the middle pillar represented as Yesod on the Kabbalah and so is Daat. The middle Pillar on the kabbalah has the sun and the moon on it. These show that the middle Pillar has the key to the kingdom of Gnosis or Daat. The Moon or yesod is the foundation of the kingdom. Remember the moon and keys under the feet of the Hierophant and the High Priestess? As above so Below the feet are represented as malkuth which is the kingdom. The keys to gnosis are within malkuth.

The Hebrew Letter VAV

Vav is the power to unite everything that is separated in creation. Literally Vav means hook or peg and the Hebrew letter is a vertical line ו. It represents the Kav, the vertical line extension of the Creator’s perfection into the created world, in order to constantly direct it, guiding the cycle of existence step by step, until eventually the perfect Oneness of the Creator which underlies all of creation is revealed. Vav is related to the Orr Yashar, the direct light of the Creator, entering the world. Vav is the divine masculine phallus symbol . In the human body it is represented as the spine. In the Kabbalah it is represented as the 3 pillars Jacin, Boaz, and the middle pillars. Vav represents the number 6 and represents the six days of the creation of the world, as well as the six physical dimensions (right left, front and back, up and down). Vav is  also in the Tetragrammaton יהוה. It is the yod representing the fire or spark of creation it turns into the letter Vav extended outward throughout the rest of creation.
